United Kingdoms (UK) is a long standing guild from Everquest Live playing on the Antonius Bayle server. When EQ2 started some people began playing this new MMORPG.
With the two city factions that are core to Everquest II we decided originally to create two guilds, one for each city, thus United Kingdoms of Freeport (UKF) and United Kingdoms of Qeynos (UKQ) were born. Once SOE removed the limitations on mixed city patrons the two guilds decided to merge and the guild moved to Splitpaw as it was a european based server.
UK is made up of a primarily European player-base. Where having a good sense of humour, an honest outlook and being a team player is a must. A certain degree of maturity and self control is also required. Due to our members being from different countries all guild, forum and ventril chat is in English.
Many guilds are separated by one question – Are you a raiding guild? The answer to this is yes and no. Raids have never been mandatory, which is something that sets UK apart from most other high level end-game guilds. That said, UK does raid very frequently and has 4 days a week (3 during quiet Summer months) set aside as dedicated raiding days with unofficial raids on other days.
